Research and development are at the heart of PDL Electronics' commitment to providing ground-breaking technology in AC motor controls.
All designs are developed in-house in a carefully controlled, multi-step process. Design standards keep projects focussed and regular design reviews monitor progress. For ground-breaking designs, field trials are a regular occurrence to ensure functionality in the user environment. Selected customers are targeted to trial prototype units and their experience, along with that gained in field trials, is used to fine-tune designs before further testing takes place. |

The latest surface-mount technology and testing equipment is just one way in which PDL Electronics leads the way in manufacturing expertise. All effort is made to acquire the latest manufacturing equipment to ensure the manufacturing process is continually improved.
A number of semi-automatic placement machines are individually programmed for the manufacture of printed circuit boards. Automatic flow-soldering ensures uniform high quality in all boards.
The company is certified to the Internationally recognised Quality Management System standard AS/NZS ISO 9001. All processes are fully monitored through computer tracking. Two specialised verification activities ensure that all prescribed standards are met. These incorporate a variety of sophisticated test equipment, some of which has been specifically designed and built to ensure absolute adherence to standards.
